Dungiven Celtic F.C.
Late goals prove to be decisive

Dungiven added to their points tally in the Intermediate League with a deserved 2-0 win over Churchill United at Wilton Park. The breakthrough came with 10 minutes left when Paul Butcher found the net after a great run from Kevin Boyle. In injury time Fergal McGuigan made sure with a well taken second. The Reserves also left it late away to Claudy United where they won 2-1. Cathal Grieve and Padhraic Murphy got the goals here. The highlight of the Thirds 2-2 draw with Ardmore was a brilliant individual goal from Diarmuid McNicholl. Noel McGlinchey was the other scorer.

The under 17s went under against an excellent Moorfield team by 4 goals without reply, while the under 15s played a 0-0 draw away to Draperstown. Both teams hit the woodwork and a draw was a fair result.

A party of twenty 9-11 years old had a very enjoyable trip to Buncrana on Saturday to participate in the latest "Football for Peace" session.
